If I had a Million Dollars-English Extra Credi

If I had a million dollars, I’m not sure what I would do. I think I would be in so much shock, it would be hard to think straight. First of all, I would buy our school a really nice tour bus, because I hate riding in hot, noisy buses. I would remember all those long trips to Wilds, and all the wind-blown, sweaty hair. I would also save a bunch so if and when I get married, I could adopt lots of kids from foreign countries-like Micah’s little bro Josiah. I think I would also save it, so when I got out of college I wouldn’t be in big debt, and could buy a decent house, and eventually start a clinic for poor people. Like Patch Adams:) I would also buy a nice car..not a super expensive one, but something better then mine. Man, that would be so cool to have a million dollars..but money isn’t happiness. And I must learn to be content where I am, although I can dream big!

My Happiest Childhood Memory (English thing)

My Happiest Childhood Memory (English thing)

I don’t have one specific memory, but I do have memories that I will never forget. Probably my two happiest memories are barbies and ballet. My best friend Megan and I would play barbies for hours. We built houses and lives for them, marrying them off and planning different events for them. Summer pool parties, dances(I was little), and many other things. I know, most of you never experienced this joy, but it was was of my favorite things to do. I finally broke the habit in 6th grade, although there are times I still contemplate getting them all out.

My second favorite childhood memory was ballet. I started in kindergarten with my best friend, Kim. Although she quit the next year, I stuck with it. I had found my love. So while all my other friends were playing soccer and basketball, I was leaping across the room and practicing my pirouettes. I made so many friends, and so many memories. Finally, I was on pointe, which is very hard for those of you who know absolutely nothing about ballet. It was one of those growing up experiences. However, my love for ballet had to end when we moved and it was a sad sad day. Although, I still dance around my room sometimes..remembering all those times.

    My Imaginary Friend

Ok, I’ve lost this dumb post twice and I’m mad. It was really good and really close to 100 words and now I have to start over. I have no idea what to say, I never had an imaginary friend that I named. See I always had lots of imaginary friends. I talked to them and told them all about whatever was bothering me. One day my mom walked out and said, “Amanda who are you talking to?” Well, embarassed, I said no one and lowered my voice. I always liked having imaginary friends. They never told your secrets and never had anything bad to say. They would listen to all my bad days and good days. And they don’t think your jokes are corny or that you are silly. I still talk to them sometimes, Especially if I’ve had a really bad day or someone is really buggin me. They don’t know the person nor will they ever tell them what I say. If you have ever had an imaginary friend then you know what I’m talking about, and if you haven’t then you are missing out.

    My Greatest Fear

Well, Our topic today is our greatest fear. And I can’t really think of my greatest fear. One that is high on my list is being kidnapped by some weird guy. (I’ll let you ponder what else could happen) I guess I have watched too many shows about that. Who knows, although not very many people my age seem to get kidnapped. I also have a great fear of heights. For some odd reason, this has plagued me for many years. And it comes up at the oddest times. Like the one time a few of my fellow classmates thought it would be funny to push Amanda around the gym on the scaffolding. I was so scared. I guess I don’t really have that many fears..nothing that hinders my day to day living at least. I figure there are always going to be things in life I’m afraid of, but you just got to look them in the face and conquer them. I was scared of water for so long..which is really funny because I love to swim now, but it wasn’t until I decided I wanted to swim and be a lifeguard that I got obver that fear. Although I’m still a bit wary about swimming in the ocean. Let’s see, I don’t think I have any other fears. It’s weird, my mom has always been very careful about what I watch and both my parents have tried to raise me without fear. So although I have my fears, nothing so great that is hinders my daily life. Anyways, the bell just rang.
